Engine rebuild
The motor I will be swapping in for the 229 is a Chevy 350 from a 74' A-body that someone decided to stick in place of the 454 that my 73' C-10 originally came with. Behind the small block will be a TH350 tranny that was also in the same truck.
Before I got the wagon, had already pulled the motor out of the truck and started disassembling it. Then it was dropped off at the machine shop to be bored .030 over, have the piston rods matched and pistions R&P'ed. I also had the crank ground .010 under, cam bearings and new freezer plugs installed. I then brought home the block and reassambled the motor.
